Film: Deadpool

Deadpool is a perfect movie.

Hands down, the best one I have seen this year, in terms of perfect entertainment and a blisteringly perfect script. The humour just keeps coming and doesn’t ever stop from beginning to end. The script and comedy are flawless. Ryan Reynolds is sketch gold. The supporting cast are mostly fantastic BUT IT DOESN’T EVEN MATTER BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WHAT YOU CAME HERE TO SEE (sidenote, Erlich from Silicon Valley is really good at being this role that he is in everything he is. I appreciate his typecasting.)

I give it a 9 out of 10 (because there was one tiny little thing about the reason he didn’t fess up earlier that I felt was implausible. You know me and implausibility. Yeah, yeah, I know. Superheroes in themselves except for Batman are implausible. Still. And then about some of that supporting cast…).

Now to see if Suicide Squad and Captain America Civil War/Batman vs. Superman are going to knock it out from the top spot of best movie of the year.

(honestly, there isn’t a lot I can say about this movie. It was as close to a perfect superhero movie as a perfect superhero movie for this particular antihero can get. Have I already said it was perfect?)

p.s. when you go see this movie, you will see just how ridiculous it is that KFCB rated it PG 10. Laughable. Incompetent oblivious pseudo-professionals.
